The main trendsetters on Bali are surfers – free, colorful, and fun. No one here is too bothered by his or her looks– instead, they enjoy the moment. Sun, salty wind, and carefree island life make everyone equally beautiful
A day with Мaxim Sapozhnikov
The funniest and craziest shopping of our lives happened in Bali, accompanied by Max Sapozhnikov, someone who knows everything there is to know about high fashion. To say that Max added spice to mundane shopping is to say nothing. He turned the process into a real show with amusing sketches, adventures, and unexpected twists. Of course, if you want to buy something truly authentic made by local designers, go to Seminyak. This district has lots of tiny workshops, showrooms, boutiques, and simple stands where you can buy souvenirs for the close ones. And with a guide like Max, this process becomes truly unforgettable!
Nirvana Shanti Yoga Bale

At dawn we meditate and do yoga in the amazing centre of relaxation Dharma Shanti Yoga Bale, located at our hotel Four Seasons Resort Bali At Sayan. Complete Zen and Om. Then we have breakfast and go on a tour of the hotel: there’s so much stuff here that getting lost isn’t hard at all.

Antonio Blanco Museum

We are to one of the most unusual museums out of all we’ve been to. It’s not just an exhibition hall, but a true Balinese villa, where once a famous Indonesian painter Antonio Blanco lived with his wife Ni Ronji. The house is surrounded by lush exotic garden, where many unique and rare birds roam. You can feed them and seat them on your shoulder. Of course, we’ve taken a lot of amusing and bright photos.

Drifter Surf Shop and Cafe

We’re finally going shopping to Seminyak. Our first stop is Drifter Surf Shop and Café A very atmospheric semi-shop, semi-showroom, semi-café, which keeps attracting surfers from all over the island. This place has everything: shorts with palms, interesting bracelets out of shells, retro guitars and obviously boards! Lots of boards. The most awesome and responsive staff works here. Everyone’s treated with a glass of cool lemonade and given small presents as a keepsake.

Lily-Jean

Obviously, girls from our team couldn’t walk past this boutique, since here they sell wonderful dresses, both for casual use and special occasions. The brand itself was founded in 2004 and its creators can’t stop drawing inspiration from colorful, bright and freedom-loving Bali. The brand already has 12 boutiques all over the globe

Magali Pascal

It’s hard to walk past this shop, because its building is essentially a modern hut, one of its walls made completely out of glass. Inside everything is very bright and stylish. The interior is made completely out of wood and the hangers have white gowns neatly hung on them. The brand has French roots, since its creator Magali Pascal studied design at the prestigious École Nationale

Lulu Yasmine

Lulu Yasmine is one of Bali’s most successful designers. Light, simple, yet very stylish clothing: flowing fabric, natural color, authentic patterns with Asian spirit. The brand became so popular that the designer had to open several shops in different parts of the island. We, obviously, couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to visit one of them.

Sea Gipsy Jewelry

Don’t be scared of the word “gipsy” in the shop’s name. You won’t see anything tasteless, shocking or deliberately tacky. Jewelry of this famous Balinese brand is done in a very graceful style. We especially liked rings made out of thin “wicker” silver. Perhaps, the prices may not be considered as reasonable, but such “object of adoration”, which is made in limited edition is totally worth it.
